Training Curriculum

Heal Myself, Heal My World.

In the yoga teacher’s certification training program you will gain proficiency in the practice and teaching of the 8 limbs of yoga which include: the asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing practices), bandhas, (energy locks) mudras (gestures) and meditation. There will be extensive training on Anatomy and Physiology as well as meta-physiology which includes, nadis, koshas and the chakra energy systems, and how to keep this energy system healthy with yoga.

In this training program we will focus on acquiring the knowledge of the transformational techniques of yoga and how to use them to transform yourself, and in time, help your students gain more health in body, mind and spirit..

You will learn the anatomy of asanas and how to teach them effectively and safely. You will learn principles of Ayurveda, and meditation. In addition, there will be ample time devoted to the yogi lifestyle, history and philosophy of yoga. We will also enjoy chanting and discovering the beautiful language of Sanskrit.

The program requires an honest commitment from you. You will be receiving 180 hours training with the main faculty. And 20 hours from guest teachers who are experts in their fields. There will be homework assigned which will take 3-4 hours each month, it is expected that all homework assignment be completed and handed in on time. All lessons missed will need to be made up in order to meet the requirements for graduation. We look forward to sharing the wisdom of yoga with you so that you as a yoga instructor can share the wisdom gained during this training with your students.

INSTRUCTORS

Lead Trainer Deborah Bennett  ( E-RYT 200/E-RYT 500 ) Deborah Bennett has been teaching yoga since 1987 and training yoga teachers since 2012. She has much experience in teaching the health and healing aspects of yoga and meditation for peaceful living. Assistant to the lead Trainer Raam Das (E-RYT 500) Raam Das is trained in the Integral Yoga tradition and also therapeutic yoga. Raam Das is the lead trainer for the 300 hour advanced yoga teachers certification at Heal Me Institute. Yoga diet coach Prema Carter (RYT 200) The Yogic diet is a diet for peace. Prema is the Author of  “Are You Buggin”, and “Align With The Divine”.
