I have been studying Hatha Yoga since 1978 and Surat Shabd Yoga since 1985. Because these two yoga practices have brought me peace and health, I was inspired to share them with everyone who wants a peaceful, healthy life.

I was born and raised in South Africa where I started dancing at age 5. Came to the United States in Late 1987. Here I have studied, dance, physical theatre, Alexander technique, and have been teaching, creative movement, dance, aerobics and yoga since 1989. I am a certified Yoga instructor in hatha yoga, asanas, and pranayama (breathing). I love teaching and my classes have always been an enjoyable mix of all my areas of study that have benefitted my students tremendously. I have been a student of Joyti Meditation since 1988 and this technique of inner reflection, focus, and spiritual awareness has influenced the style of Gentle and introspective Yoga that I teach. “The Secret Garden” refers to the secret garden of love and complete bliss we all have inside and can access it anytime we choose by stilling the mind and becoming one with our spirit.


Tanja Awan

Tanja Awan completed her 200 RYT at the Heal Me Yoga Institute where she has taught classes since 2017.  She is currently working through her 300 Hour RYT training at Heal Me Institute where she teaches trauma-sensitive courses which include: Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga.  Tanja’s yoga interests include yoga for healing trauma and grief.  Tanja is also a busy mother and music lover, as she also used to professionally tune pianos.  Tanja is also a Level I Reiki practitioner and is journeying to become a Master Reiki practitioner.

Sarah Blunkosky

Sarah Blunkosky completed her 200 Hour RYT and 95 Hour RCYT at Heal Me Institute. She recently completed her 85 Hour Pre/Postnatal Yoga Vinyasa/Kundalini infused teacher training off-site. She is currently in a 300 Hour RYT advanced training at Heal Me Institute and is on a long-term path to be a yoga therapist. Sarah teaches Chair Yoga for Every Body, Prenatal Yoga, and Gentle Yin Yoga (co-taught with Tanja) at Heal Me Yoga. She offers custom workshops and private sessions/classes upon request. Specialties include: Prenatal, Postnatal, Pelvic Floor, Complex Prenatal Conditions such as Breech & Placenta Previa Presentations, Children with Special Needs, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Yoga for Arthritis. Sarah is also a Level I Reiki practitioner and is journeying to become a Master Reiki practitioner. Sarah Blunkosky, M.A. is a homeschool momma of three kids, one of whom has Down syndrome and autism and several learning challenges. She works part-time as an education consultant, yoga teacher, and writer. She enjoys the journey of life and has too many interests to reasonably keep up with (but she tries). When she is not with her family or working, you can find her teaching therapeutic yoga or curled up in her favorite corner of the public library.

Mandii Bary


My training began at Heal Me Institute where I had completed my 200-hour training in the Fall of 2016 and is where I continue my 300-hour training. The type of yoga I enjoy teaching is gentle therapeutic yoga where the focus is on relaxing the mind and body while also engaging in strength, flexibility, and breath work. This teaching style is suitable for students of all levels, ages, sizes, and health, where all classes taught, are inclusive of each individual’s needs. The inspirations in my life come from all around in nature, art, music, events, and people. A lot of my inspiration comes from my students as well as other teachers and those in my personal life. The lessons people and events offer can guide our passion, aspirations, and potential in not only yoga but in life.
